Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he nonetheless claims to be from planet Saturn. Oh no, wait, that’s Sun Ra, with whom John Zahl greatly identifies. John is also an Episcopal minister (St. Matthew’s, Bedford), and voracious record collector. He’s especially interested in exploring the places were Cosmic-Disco and the insights of the English Reformation overlap.
