Juliette Alvey is a writer for Mockingbird. Her husband, Ryan, is a contributor to The Mockingpulpit and a pastor at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN. They have three children who are ages 13, 9, and 5. Juliette is also a musician and songwriter who plays bass, guitar, and sings. She loves being involved in the music ministry at St. Michael’s and leading God’s people in worship through song. She grew up in a musical home: her mom is a piano teacher, her dad a professional composer and piano player, and her brother a rock musician and producer/manager. She hopes to share some of her family’s experiences of both the pressure of performance and the grace of God to enjoy the amazing gift of music.
